Full SizeRosewoodRexine Bag, No SeasoningReeds Included

Ideal for: Pipers moving up from the practice chanter, and players who want a full set that is ready to set up without a seasoning routine

A full size Rosewood bagpipe with a Rexine bag and your choice of cover.

This Roosebeck full size bagpipe has a Rexine bag: a soft synthetic that is airtight and feels like fine suede. Unlike a leather bag it needs no breaking in and no seasoning, and its contoured goose neck helps airflow. The set comes with two cane pipe chanter reeds, a set of aluminum drone reeds with carbon fiber tongues, and thread. It measures about 40 by 20 inches. Choose engraved nickel fittings with imitation ivory mounts under a Royal Stewart tartan or black velvet cover, turned nickel fittings under tartan, or a black finish set under black velvet.

Four Styles

Engraved Nickel, Red Tartan: engraved ferrules and sole, imitation ivory mounts, Royal Stewart tartan cover.

Engraved Nickel, Black Velvet: engraved ferrules and sole, imitation ivory mounts, black velvet cover.

Turned Nickel, Red Tartan: turned nickel plated ferrules and sole, Royal Stewart tartan cover.

Black Finish, Black Velvet: black finish Rosewood, turned nickel plated ferrules and sole, black velvet cover.

Rexine, Not Leather

Rexine is airtight from the start, so there is no breaking in and no seasoning to keep up. It is lighter than leather, and the contoured goose neck improves airflow.

Setting Up

Expect to set up and tune the pipes on arrival: seat the reeds, check the hemped joints, then tune the drones to the chanter. If you are new to the pipes, start on a practice chanter; most players spend months there before moving to the full set.
