Roosebeck Single Tray Spiral Music Stand, Red Cedar

Roosebeck Single Tray Spiral Music Stand, Red Cedar

Solid Red Cedar Carved Spiral Column Adjustable 41–59" Single Tray Lightweight

Ideal for: Players who want the spiral design in a lighter, warmer-toned wood

The spiral music stand in warm red cedar.

Same proven Spiral design, built in solid red cedar instead of rosewood. The result is a stand that's noticeably lighter (8.1 pounds versus a comparable rosewood stand) and has the warm reddish-brown coloring that makes red cedar so distinctive. Excellent choice for players who travel with their stand or want a warmer wood tone in their studio.

Solid Red Cedar with Carved Spiral

The carved 26-inch spiral column is the same as the rosewood version, but rendered in solid red cedar. The wood is sustainably cultivated, with a fine, even texture, straight grain, and warm reddish-brown heartwood that may be accented by pale yellow streaks of sapwood.

About the wood: The botanical name for red cedar, Cedrus deodara, derives from the Sanskrit devadaaru, meaning "wood of the gods." Several Hindu legends refer to forests of devadaaru.

Same Adjustability, Lighter Weight

Total height ranges from 41 to 59 inches. The 20-by-13-inch bookshelf is generous enough for oversize scores. The angle adjusts to multiple notched positions for comfortable reading. The 19.5-inch foot spread provides stability without taking up excess floor space.

Why red cedar over rosewood: Red cedar is significantly lighter, which matters if you carry your stand to lessons, gigs, or rehearsals. The trade-off is slightly less heft at the base, though the three-foot design keeps it stable.
