The Roosebeck Padded Gig Bag is built specifically to fit our mountain dulcimer line, with interior dimensions cut to hold a Grace, Emma, Wildwood, or cutaway snugly without slop. Padded nylon construction protects against bumps and scrapes during transport.
Padded Nylon, Built for the Road
The exterior is durable nylon with internal padding that absorbs the small bumps that happen on the way to lessons, sessions, or gigs. The carry handle is set on the balance point so the dulcimer rides level when you walk.
This isn't a flight case. It's a gig bag, designed for the everyday transport that most dulcimers actually face: a back seat, a rehearsal room, a teacher's living room.
What a gig bag is for: Protection against bumps, scrapes, dust, and humidity changes during normal transport. For air travel or shipping, a hard case is the right choice.
Cut to Fit the Roosebeck Mountain Dulcimer Line
Interior dimensions are 34.5 inches long by 7.5 inches wide by 3 inches deep. That fits the Grace, Emma, Wildwood, and the 4-string cutaway models with a snug, no-slop fit. A bag that's too large lets the instrument shift around in transit, which defeats the protection. This bag is sized so the dulcimer travels still.
Compatible with: Grace 4-string and 5-string, Emma 4-string, Wildwood (standard and Deluxe), and the 4-string cutaway scrolled pegbox model. Trail Dulcimers and 5-string cutaways may need a different fit; check with us if uncertain.
