A solid rosewood stand that adjusts anywhere between seated and standing height.

The hinge action locks at any point across its range rather than dropping into fixed steps, so you set the height your back and arms actually want instead of the nearest preset. The 24 by 36 inch platform holds the full Roosebeck hammered dulcimer line, and the stand folds flat for transport.

Solid Rosewood, Hinged Action

The stand is built from solid rosewood, the same dense, warm-toned hardwood used throughout our instrument line. It is heavy enough to stay put when you strike hard, which is the whole point of a dulcimer stand.

The hinge gives continuous adjustment rather than fixed height steps, so the playing surface can be dialed in to your stool, your height, and the stage you are working on.

Why the hinge matters: Fixed-step stands tend to land just above or just below the height you want. A continuous hinge lets you stop exactly where your wrists are comfortable.

From Seated to Standing in Seconds

Seated play sets the platform at roughly 22.5 inches in front and 26.5 inches in back. The slight tilt brings the strings toward you and takes strain off your wrists over a long session.

Standing play opens to roughly 39.5 inches in front and 48 inches in back, which puts the dulcimer at a comfortable striking height for most adults and keeps sightlines open on stage.

Setting your height: Seated, position the front edge just past your knees. Standing, aim for the platform at about belt height with your arms relaxed at your sides.
